In a fireside chat with Mark Barnebow, the Executive Director of the University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong; Jim shared his business insights, life philosophy and leadership lessons with alumni, students and audiences in Asia, live and online.

Jim recounted his entrepreneurial journey, starting his business with $1,000 in Japan. His vision was to make it simpler for families relocating internationally, helping them settle into their new homes and lives. He discussed the growth of the business to Hong Kong and beyond, establishing a presence in over 45 countries over six decades.

Jim highlighted the diversification of Crown Worldwide Group
into an international logistics provider, managing the movement and storage of offices, priceless art, corporate documents & information, and fine wines.

Throughout his career, Jim made strategic decisions that aligned with the evolving economic landscape in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, navigating a period marked by rapid transformation. His journey exemplifies the region’s progress and the innovative ethos that defines the company.
